Quimi is a short name for Joaquim, a Catalan name.
You may have seen presentations, publications, profiles or other documents in which I have been presented as Joaquín Luzón or Quimi Luzón. The truth is that both are okay to me.
I was born and raised in Ibiza, a Mediterranean island, pretty well known for the hippies, the tourism and the electronic music clubs.
What less people know is the fact that we speak both Spanish and Catalan (t)here.
Although Joaquín is my official name, I have been called Quimi by family, friends and co-workers forever, so feel free to use it! 🙂
